In quel tempo, l’angelo Gabriele fu mandato da Dio in una città della Galilea, chiamata Nàzaret, a una vergine, promessa sposa di un uomo della casa di Davide, di nome Giuseppe. La vergine si chiamava Maria. Entrando da lei, disse: «Rallègrati, piena di grazia: il Signore è con te». A queste parole ella fu molto turbata e si domandava che senso avesse un saluto come questo. L’angelo le disse: «Non temere, Maria, perché hai trovato grazia presso Dio. Ed ecco, concepirai un figlio, lo darai alla luce e lo chiamerai Gesù. Sarà grande e verrà chiamato Figlio dell’Altissimo; il Signore Dio gli darà il trono di Davide suo padre e regnerà per sempre sulla casa di Giacobbe e il suo regno non avrà fine». Allora Maria disse all’angelo: «Come avverrà questo, poiché non conosco uomo?». Le rispose l’angelo: «Lo Spirito Santo scenderà su di te e la potenza dell’Altissimo ti coprirà con la sua ombra. Perciò colui che nascerà sarà santo e sarà chiamato Figlio di Dio. Ed ecco, Elisabetta, tua parente, nella sua vecchiaia ha concepito anch’essa un figlio e questo è il sesto mese per lei, che era detta sterile: nulla è impossibile a Dio». Allora Maria disse: «Ecco la serva del Signore: avvenga per me secondo la tua parola». E l’angelo si allontanò da lei.

Vieni o Santo Spirito e guida il mio cuore in quell'umile casa....
Alla base della nascita di Gesù, c’è la grande e meravigliosa umiltà di Maria.
La grazia di Dio si riconosce anche da questo, dalla sua personalità docile, ma al tempo stesso ferma e consapevole. Non ha pensato Maria alle conseguenze , né si é sentita superiore e questo la dice lunga sulla diversità che c’è tra lei e noi, sempre pronte ad innalzare il nostro io al di sopra degli altri e ad usare il nome di Dio per acquistare credito agli occhi del mondo.Insegnaci Maria l’arte del silenzio, guidaci verso una fede forte e consapevole, aiutaci ad accettare tutto quello che accade con pazienza ed umiltà.

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth. He was sent to a young virgin who was betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the family of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. The angel came to her and said, «Rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you». Mary was troubled at these words, wondering what this greeting could mean.
But the angel said, «Do not fear, Mary, for God has looked kindly on you. You shall conceive and bear a son and you shall call him Jesus. He will be great and shall rightly be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the kingdom of David, his ancestor; he will rule over the people of Jacob forever and his reign shall have no end». Then Mary said to the angel, «How can this be if I am a virgin?». And the angel said to her, «The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, the holy child to be born shall be called Son of God. Even your relative Elizabeth is expecting a son in her old age, although she was unable to have a child, and she is now in her sixth month. With God nothing is impossible». Texto del Evangelio (Lc 1,26-38): En aquel tiempo, fue enviado por Dios el ángel Gabriel a una ciudad de Galilea, llamada Nazaret, a una virgen desposada con un hombre llamado José, de la casa de David; el nombre de la virgen era María.
Y entrando, le dijo: «Alégrate, llena de gracia, el Señor está contigo». Ella se conturbó por estas palabras, y discurría qué significaría aquel saludo. El ángel le dijo: «No temas, María, porque has hallado gracia delante de Dios; vas a concebir en el seno y vas a dar a luz un hijo, a quien pondrás por nombre Jesús. Él será grande y será llamado Hijo del Altísimo, y el Señor Dios le dará el trono de David, su padre; reinará sobre la casa de Jacob por los siglos y su reino no tendrá fin». María respondió al ángel: «¿Cómo será esto, puesto que no conozco varón?». El ángel le respondió: «El Espíritu Santo vendrá sobre ti y el poder del Altísimo te cubrirá con su sombra; por eso el que ha de nacer será santo y será llamado Hijo de Dios. Mira, también Isabel, tu pariente, ha concebido un hijo en su vejez, y éste es ya el sexto mes de aquella que llamaban estéril, porque ninguna cosa es imposible para Dios». Dijo María: «He aquí la esclava del Señor; hágase en mí según tu palabra». Y el ángel dejándola se fue.

ORACIÓN
Ven o Espíritu Santo y guía mi corazón en esa humilde casa ...
En la base del nacimiento de Jesús, hay la gran y maravillosa humildad de María.
La gracia de Dios también es reconocida por esto, por su personalidad dócil, pero al mismo tiempo firme y consciente.
Mary no pensó en las consecuencias, ni se sintió superior, y esto dice mucho sobre la diferencia entre ella y nosotros, siempre lista para elevarnos por encima de los demás y usar el nombre de Dios para comprar crédito.

Le nom de la vierge était Marie. L'ange entra chez elle, et dit: «Je te salue, toi à qui une grâce a été faite; le Seigneur est avec toi». Troublée par cette parole, Marie se demandait ce que pouvait signifier une telle salutation. L'ange lui dit: «Ne crains point, Marie; car tu as trouvé grâce devant Dieu. Et voici, tu deviendras enceinte, et tu enfanteras un fils, et tu lui donneras le nom de Jésus. REFLEXION DE LELLA
PRIERE: Viens o Esprit Saint et guide mon cœur dans cette humble maison ....
- A la base de la naissance de Jésus, il y a la grande et merveilleuse humilité de Marie.
