ANDRE DALEOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15152055171743691380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9021601257307259441.post-49370486289801367672015-04-07T12:09:59.164-07:002015-04-07T12:09:59.164-07:00MY REFLECTION
PRAYER
Come Holy Spirit, and teach...MY REFLECTION
PRAYER
Come Holy Spirit, and teach me to think like you, teach me to live with you and help me to look with you this page of the Gospel.

Let's go back to read this passage that sees the disciples back after knowing Jesus, after listening to him, because work miracles. For those who want to re-read what was my thinking then, can be found at this link: http://bricioledivangelo.blogspot.it/.../lc-2413-35....
Today, however, I want to see another side of the story, because I think that the two poor disciples, they make me really tenderness.
When men of power act, give the impression to crush the little believer, we also see it in these times, in which the laws seem to want to wipe out everything that is Christian.
Jesus bother, annoy the Church by those who do not want to have anyone that indicate how to live.
Sometimes even within the Church by Jesus nuisance, especially when it means to love our enemies, to those who persecute us, the love for justice, not revenge.
Understand that death did not stop anything, but rather, that gave meaning to the suffering on earth, is still not easy, even for us, let alone for the first Christians, even though they had been close to Jesus and for this I feel just like them.
Jesus is risen, the disciples have seen some of them can be trusted? In the Bible we find the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his support, whose hearts turn away from the Lord." And again: "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and the Lord is his trust. "We generally think of sin as a transgression of the law or a precept laid down by the Church, partly because so basically we have been taught, and therefore, like to do or not to do a certain action.
This reasoning is not only simplistic, but also destructive because it neglects the theological root of sin, its true cause, leads us to a life of "almost" Christian, but never completely.
Sin is just reduce the lowliness of man and God to judge the choices that we have shown to our existence, which in human terms, we can make our way, without assessing the Divine aspect of his commandments, his word.
It is God who speaks to us and seek a dialogue, a real relationship of love and fidelity; seeks to guide our lives, just as those who teach us to shoot an arrow and make the center; In fact, the sin in Hebrew is "amartia" which translates as a sports term, and pull the bow to mistake the center.
This is the root of sin and it is for this reason that, when that happens, we never go literally to sign in our choices, just because we have the wrong target.
If the disciples of Emmaus needed a new encounter with the Lord, to go back, to Jerusalem, to the holy city, with many new encounters we also need?
How many times will try to follow other ways, we will leave away thinking that it's more just being modern, being in the world, follow the men who run the power and, even if in the end we are not convinced of all, let us drag in life, thinking not only to our present and our resurrection.
The encounter with Christ is the opportunity to change our lives, to live in communion with him, both in suffering and in death, and yet in the resurrection. The risk is to stay far away from God for the rest of our lives ... for eternity.
I posted a note where you can read the same episode as it describes through the pen of Mary, Jesus himself: (https://www.facebook.com/notes/lella-mingardi/iii-domenica-di-pasqua-rivelazione-di-ges%C3%B9-a-maria-valtorta/10152423853751419 ).Mingardi Lellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02564428342953126329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9021601257307259441.post-46707393154231893622015-04-07T12:04:24.213-07:002015-04-07T12:04:24.213-07:00MI REFLEXIÓN

Mingardi Lellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02564428342953126329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9021601257307259441.post-82806462712446111322015-04-07T11:36:01.733-07:002015-04-07T11:36:01.733-07:00VERSIONE IN INGLESE DI MERCOLEDì 8 APRILE

While they were talking and wondering, Jesus came up and walked with them, but their eyes were held and they did not recognize him.

He asked, «What is this you are talking about?». The two stood still, looking sad. Then one named Cleophas answered, «Why, it seems you are the only traveller in Jerusalem who doesn't know what has happened there these past few days». And he asked, «What is it?». They replied, «It is about Jesus of Nazareth. He was a prophet, you know, mighty in word and deed before God and the people. But the chief priests and our rulers sentenced him to death. They handed him over to be crucified. We had hoped that he would redeem Israel. It is now the third day since all this took place. It is true that some women of our group have disturbed us. When they went to the tomb at dawn, they did not find his body; they came to tell us that they had seen a vision of angels who told them that Jesus was alive. Some friends of our group went to the tomb and found everything just as the women had said, but they did not see him». He said to them, «How dull you are, how slow of understanding! You fail to believe the message of the prophets. Is it not written that the Christ should suffer all this and then enter his glory?». Then starting with Moses and going through the prophets, He explained to them everything in the Scriptures concerning himself.

As they drew near the village they were heading for, Jesus made as if to go farther. But they prevailed upon him, «Stay with us, for night comes quickly. The day is now almost over». So he went in to stay with them. When they were at table, he took the bread, said a blessing, broke it and gave each a piece. Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; but He vanished out of their sight. And they said to each other, «Were not our hearts filled with ardent yearning when He was talking to us on the road and explaining the Scriptures?».

They immediately set out and returned to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and their companions gathered together. They were greeted by these words: «Yes, it is true, the Lord is risen! He has appeared to Simon!». Then the two told what had happened on the road and how Jesus made himself known when he broke bread with them.Mingardi Lellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02564428342953126329noreply@blogger.com
