ANDRE DALEOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15152055171743691380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9021601257307259441.post-90065959355398631122017-03-27T07:25:57.466-07:002017-03-27T07:25:57.466-07:00VERSIONE IN INGLESE DI MARTEDì 28 MARZO 2017
Holy...VERSIONE IN INGLESE DI MARTEDì 28 MARZO 2017

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 5:1-16.
There was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Now there is in Jerusalem at the Sheep (Gate) a pool called in Hebrew Bethesda, with five porticoes.
In these lay a large number of ill, blind, lame, and crippled.

One man was there who had been ill for thirty-eight years.
When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been ill for a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be well?"
The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; while I am on my way, someone else gets down there before me."
Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your mat, and walk."
Immediately the man became well, took up his mat, and walked. Now that day was a sabbath.
So the Jews said to the man who was cured, "It is the sabbath, and it is not lawful for you to carry your mat."
He answered them, "The man who made me well told me, 'Take up your mat and walk.'"
They asked him, "Who is the man who told you, 'Take it up and walk'?"
The man who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had slipped away, since there was a crowd there.
After this Jesus found him in the temple area and said to him, "Look, you are well; do not sin any more, so that nothing worse may happen to you."
The man went and told the Jews that Jesus was the one who had made him well.
Therefore, the Jews began to persecute Jesus because he did this on a sabbath.
---------------------------------
REFLECTION OF LELLA

PRAYER
I pray the Holy Spirit to guide my thoughts and my hands on the keyboard, in order to fully understand your word, and know how to live and explain by what you give me advice.

This passage of the Gospel begins by giving explanations and details of the place where the miracle happened; because the pool of Bethesda was considered the source of grace in the Old Testament, because it was used to wash the lambs before their sacrifice at the temple. This gave the water a halo of sanctity and many sick were to bathe in the pool hoping to heal.
Many are in this narrative symbols that recall the Old Testament, but I feel overwhelming that Jesus calls this man who had no one to help him to go down into the waters, marginalized even among the last, and calls on Saturday, as still mean a time with him decayed the old laws, because He was the new door to salvation.
Jesus asks: will you heal?
The answer is up to us.
Are we that we can choose to entrust ourselves to Him, the source of salvation, or sit on the sidelines watching.
Often not even realize it, and we think we do our duty, to be good, just because we go to church, we help in any business ... real estate, paralyzed in our convictions.
The poor continue to pass by, the sick to be alone, hungry to live in hardship ... and us to feel better.
How many times God has called me to open my eyes on my spiritual poverty ... and how much does it; I lend me his eyes to see, ears to hear and his heart to love.
Pope Francis has announced the Jubilee of mercy, and I really hope with my whole being, to witness what mercy he used with me.
Even today as in Jesus' day, there are those who want to fix the mercy of God stakes, those who speak against the Pope, as one who spoke against Jesus who came to make us realize that the only rule that matters is that of love.
Again, there is healing from the rules of the Pharisees and the scribes and of the Pagans and the modern fundamentalists.
We often have to challenge the Church, and even other religions, because they all put some stakes and set the rules, excludes some, rejecting others, but these posts, must be removed, because the only post that there is, is our no to God's grace.
We are always us who have the last word ... you want to be healed? We respond with faith and humility: - Yes, my Lord, I need You!Mingardi Lellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02564428342953126329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9021601257307259441.post-258223947717764102017-03-27T07:19:43.416-07:002017-03-27T07:19:43.416-07:00

Mingardi Lellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02564428342953126329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9021601257307259441.post-16024150021635030612017-03-27T07:18:54.156-07:002017-03-27T07:18:54.156-07:00VERSIONE IN SPAGNOLO DI MARTEDì 28 MARZO 2017
Evan...VERSIONE IN SPAGNOLO DI MARTEDì 28 MARZO 2017

Mingardi Lellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02564428342953126329noreply@blogger.com
